Be patient with yourself during the yoga class. Appreciate where you are and what you can do.

 

Yoga Etiquette

 

  • please arrive 5-10 minutes before class to remove shoes, set up mat, blocks, etc. and begin to transition from your busy life to an enviroment of quiet and relaxation.  Life happens, however, and if you do arrive late your are welcome to quietly find a place in the class.
  • please do not wear fragrances since others in the class may be sensitive
  • turn off cell phones
  • let the instructor know of any medical condition before class starts
  • suggestion: while it is best not to eat in the two hours before class if you are hungry a light snack such at fruit or yogurt may not affect your practice

Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.  Layering is encouraged since the body temperature changes during class.  Bathrooms are available for changing clothes.
